Showers held off for the first NSMBA Toonie of the year. Lots of smiling faces for a North Shore classic: Pipeline.
Hiccup at the start led me to 6th into the trail. Clean passes and an honest sweat pulled me next to Cam O’Donnell on the Fromme fire road. Past the first switchback, Cam made a move. Good effort, but a little early: Cam wasn’t able to sustain the pull. Caught up, and distanced myself closer to the trail head to Floppy Bunny. Clean (and tired) run down Floppy led me to the finish and first place.
Great to see some good numbers out for the first Toonie!
Thank you to the NSMBA and sponsors for making these happen every first Saturday of the month starting in May.
